2021 Chinese New Year shop & cook with me (updated)

Another video for y'all! This time I kinda try to get this video out soon because it is meant to give you ideas for what meals you can make this Chinese New Year.

This year will be quite different as many of us will not be able to balik kampung_ myself included (T___T) _ nor visiting our relatives and close friends face-to-face. That also means a lot will be celebrating with just a few family members or even alone. Despite that, I do think we can make this a memorable one.

I had a lot of fun making this video because it motivates me to try all the recipes I've been wanting to do (like menbosha aka mian bao xiang or homemade lemonade), dishes I miss (like my mom's jiu hu char and fried ice cream) or try (OMG crayfish!!!!). Most importantly, they're super simple to make for even the laziest person like me to do LOL. I even shared the recipes with my friends so that they could try do and when we meet up virtually, we can eat together. You can do the same!!!! (≧▽≦*) I hope you enjoy the video as much as I enjoy the process of making it!

Before I jump right to the video, wishing y'all a Happy Chinese New Year!

~♡~

Part 2 of the video is now up! Enjoy~~!

my second #whatieatinaday vlog

Second video up on my #whatieatinaday series! I'm surprised at how fast it takes but then again, I try to prep my food almost daily since the lockdown. Once again, I hope you enjoy the video and thanks for watching!

super realistic what I eat in a day & bubble tea instant noodles?!

Something different is brewing in today's post!

I have decided to revive a forgotten hobby _ video making! Instead of forcing myself to make videos on subject I'm not comfortable in, I choose to record and share things that I do during the whole lockdown _ attempting to cook! I can cook basic stuff, but have been privilege not having to until the pandemic. The first few months last year I was eating plenty of instant noodles and dry food since I don't do much food delivery orders. It's only in the recent months that I have decided to be healthier by brushing up my dusty skills on how to buy and cook using variety of ingredients.

I'm trying to plan my content "in season" for my YouTube channel as a way to encourage myself to create more videos. So I'd be like making 2-5 videos of different series before deciding if I really want to continue producing contents.

Speaking about series or the genre I'm producing, I have several in mind. The #whatieatinaday will probably be the most frequent one considering I try to cook daily & on weekends if not every other days. Then you've seen me posted on my review for the L'oreal Excellence Fashion in 10.11 Crystal Ash in just the last blog post. Beauty products reviews will still be one of the subject I write so when possible, I'd also produce some videos. I have a few other ideas which is essentially things I do during the lockdown that you may (hopefully) see them posted on my channel this month.

Meanwhile, do check this video out! Definitely give me some feedback or suggestions on new but simple recipes by leaving a comment on my blog posts or YouTube channel, I'd love to hear from you!

Hope you enjoy the video I've made and thank you for watching ( v^-゚ )

2016 Resolutions and 2015 Resolutions Recap

Happy Chinese New Year, everyone!

For everyone celebrating, I hope you had an amazing break and enjoyable CNY! If you're single like me and still receiving ang pows a.k.a. red packets, hope you get lotsa ang pows. You still got until 20th February to collect them LOL! On top of that, since it's Valentine's today, I wish you all a Happy V day!! Even if you're single, just go and have a blast!

Like last year, I'm taking my time this CNY to look back at all my blog resolutions and see if I have achieve what I hope to do! First, let's look back into last year's resolutions:

2015 Resolutions Recap

1) Persevere in blogging

Probably the most difficult thing to do LOL. But I managed! YAYYY!!

2) Doing something "more" for my blog

As you know, I have just given my blog a name change and give it a lil' bit of makeover (though I'm considering to change my blog theme again because the one now won't allow my full post to be shown...).

Apart from that, you've seen my OOTDs post (though unfrequent) and recently I'm back doing vlogs! You can check out my channel here.

So far I've posted 3 videos this year and my latest video taken and edited yesterday here ⇓

I still have several videos to edit which you will see on my channel in the next few weeks! Look forward to it!!

3) Get a new camera

Yes, I got a new camera last year, a Casio Exilim ZR-1200. I know I mentioned I wan't to make a review about it but truthfully, there are many settings which I'm still not familiar with!

It is an amazing camera, with a flip screen for selfie-taking, which I usually use when wefie-ing LOL. My friends love this particular feature a lot! I'm using the same camera for all my vlogs too, it's clearer compared to my last camera, so yes, I'm super duper happy with this one. Now I'm obsessed in getting more accessories for my camera (mini tripod, wifi sd card, underwater bag, etc) and eyeing a go pro camera but the latter have to wait because it's so pricey!

4) Travel overseas

No, I didn't travel last year (T___T ) I have Japan, Singapore and Bangkok in my wishlist but last year I was so occupied with many things I decided not to... But this year! I'm definitely taking time off. Perhaps not just travelling overseas, but locally as well. I haven't been to many places in Malaysia like Pulau Ketam or Pulau Pangkor. They're in my wishlist alright ( ⌒o⌒)

5) Improving my Japanese

I still suck in Japanese... While I did passed my JLPT N3, my grasps in the language is still no good. I don't have many chances to speak here *sigh* And Kanji, I'm working on it! To improve my Jap, I'm looking to take intensive classes and maybe find a penpal who'd help me and in return I can teach them English. *crossing my fingers*

6) Learn to speak Chinese dialects

I bought some Penang Hokkien Dialect books last year and yes, I do speak a bit more Chinese with my friends. But mostly we speak rojak language LOL. Rojak means a combination of English, Manglish, Mandarin, Hokkien and Malay whattheheck (>▽<)

 7) Giving more love to my mind and body

I pamper myself a lot LOL. Find out what I did in my reviews tab above (*⌒∇⌒*)

~♥~

Those are pretty much what my last year resolutions are. My 2016 resolutions are pretty similar so I won't be elaborating much.

2016 Resolutions

1) Persevere in Blogging AND Vlogging

2) Travel Locally & Overseas

3) Continue working on my languages

JLPT N2 next, yosh~!

4) Save more

5) Challenge myself more!

I got a simple challenge which I will be sharing in my next post! Make sure to follow my blog to find out what it is and hopefully, you can join me with the challenge!

Until my next post!

i vlogged : weekend The Forum KL cafe hangout~!

Hello people~!

I made another video here. Recorded from 2 weekends ago when my friends and I hung out at The Forum Cafe.

Actually, have another version of this video with my friends in it but this one it's just me because I don't think my friends want to have their face published LOL. I did shared with them the other version and one of them liked it. I too, liked that one better, it's a shame I couldn't share with you :(

Besides this video, I have another video unedited which I initially want to have it published together but it took me longer than expected just to edit this one video OMG. So that will have to wait until after CNY. On top of that, I am planning to shoot another vlog tomorrow and during CNY, so look forward to it OK! (*°▽°*)♪
