@ Sushi Hinata

Haro~!  MIA-ed for a while because was busy with studies though I'm almost finish with that in another week or two. But this aside first~

Out of the blue the sachou decided to have another dinner so off we went to Sushi Hinata so I finally have another quick topic to write about hahaha.

We had this Hinata Set that comes with a 5 course meal. I looked it up and apparently it's a version of a traditional Japanese full course meal. Freaking awesome!!

First meal_this daikon in yuzu(?!) soup and sashimi. My first prawn sashimi experience! So happy I get to try something new ❤

Friend had this Teriyaki fish as a substitute for the sashimi because she don't take raw food. The chef decided on this ↓ for her. How thoughtful!

Opened the lid thinking it's just a normal chawanmushi but was surprise to find that they're different 'cuz there's some soup on top that made it so flavorful.

Yummiest chawanmushi ever!!

I was like how how how they make this??! Then my friend suggested I marry one of the chef so that he'll cook for me everyday WTF  (= ___ =)

And then, and then! Sashimi sushi~!

I realized that Japanese seems to like their dessert in small sizes... If it's me, I can eat like one whole pear and another persimmon after dinner. Glutton me LOLOL

OK, That's it for nau~~ ヾ(*^▽゚) Jya ne~

2013 UNMC Bunkasai~

(,●⌒∇⌒●)/ Ohai~~ Today I'm blogging about my short trip to KL last week~ I took the train down specifically to attend my uni's Japanese Society's annual event_ BUNKASAI! This year marks the 3rd annual Bunkasai!

I'm one proud
obaba kaichouヽ(;▽;)ノ

Suria KLCC

↑ Scenery taken from Kinokuniya, Suria KLCC. Was there to kill some time the day before the event.

Some of the photos I took from the day of the event itself:

Banner and poster for the event~ I LOVE the 'fan' idea a lot!! Very creative!

Meet the 3 generations of kaichou here!

Oh, thiswasnotintheplan but I find myself wearing this badge that day(=v=)

The other dudes who's in charged with the booth that day. Candid photos of them haha

Merchandise booth next door~

Got mahself a meme badge (≥v≤)

There were stage performances too. The committees decorated the lecture hall with loads of teru teru bozu. So cute one!!

And thanks to them, it didn't rain that day but the weather turned out so hot (≥A≤)

The performance started off with some of the members performing the traditional Souran Bushi. That was the only show I got to watch that day...

Somehow, I got dragged into doing it too for demo. Not the most convenient moves to perform in a skirt... Now I know how to perform the chorus section *proud*

(//o//) "DOKKOISHO! DOKKOISHO!"

I found a photo of me performing the demo that day on the uni's Photograpy Society fb page. 95% of me is hidden behind_thank god. At least I won't be seen in an awkward position..

You can view more photos of cosplayers who took part in the cosplay competition and scenes around the festivals taken by members of the NPS fb page!

After the demo, I had to rush next door to help put on yukatas for the 'models' for the next stage show somemore. Busy, busy.

Also, a pic of my friend in a costume and I. Kakkoi!!

Nexto! Here's what they have at the food stalls~

And another year of Daten Cafe!

A maid & a butler preparing food and drinks for ojousama and goshuujinsama.

There was a obake uchi(haunted house) too. I missed it last year so decided to check it out. It was quite fun and I find me scaring the shit out of myself before the 'ghosts' do... (,TOT,) Can't help it since that was my first time going into a haunted house...

I heard rumor a guy actually passed out in the room. And then while I was in charged with the booth with friends, we heard a guy shriek from inside the haunted house. Was laughing LOL. Gotta laugh at other people 'misery'.

Overall, it was another amazing year of Bunkasai! Everyone worked hard nee~ For that,

hontou ni, ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU!!~♡ Soshite, hontou ni otsukaresama deshita!!

PART 2: 2013 Penang Yosakoi Parade

I'm back~!ヾ(●⌒∇⌒●)ノHere's the second part of the post on the Yosakoi Parade. These were taken at night around Beach Street.

My photos are a lil' blur so I stole some from my friend Marcus who were there with me to watch the parade. I'm lazy to reference each and every photos of his in this post. You'll notice some photos with better resolutions_those are his. And no, Marcus, I'm not jelly over your camera ٩(≥3≤)۶

Anyway, here are the pics~!

There was a horse carriage! This was taken before the parade starts.

Parade begins~!

Ok, this I'm not sure what it is. The children were carrying it and rocking it back and forth while shouting something I didn't quite catch. Can someone enlighten me about it?

Some random shot LOL. The lil' girl was standing on her dad's shoulder to watch the dance performance. Brings back memories (๑>◡<๑)♡

So jelly of her. There were so many people there I couldn't catch a glimpse of some of the performance. Was tiptoe-ing most of the time my legs hurt.

Some modern elements incorporated in the parade. Dancers dancing to catchy beats.

More children and adults performing in happi coats~

Pretty ladies in colorful kebaya parading~

Kendo demonstration~
