Mermaid hair!

Yes, my hair turned bluish-gray!

Last Sunday after visiting the aquarium, I decided to drop by my usual saloon Zing Hair Studio at Wangsa Maju, which like, I visit 4 times a year because I lazy hahaha.

Photos here photoshopped BTW.

The initial plan was to get my hair dyed dark ash brown with pink highlights. Somehow, there was a miscommunication and my hairdresser got me dark ash instead. She did repeatedly asked me but having spent a few hours bleaching my hairs and my brain wasn't functioning cause I was so bored waiting even though I had my phone to browse the internet. It's the saloon effect thingy, a psychology term coined by yours truly. I talk a lot of shit, I know. My friends know that too XD

It was also, my first time bleaching in my whole life and my first time in years to dye my hair. I have been trying to keep my hair healthy but the whole double-bleaching it destroyed my entire tres in just two hours WTF

They were so coarse I can cry, my poor hair! So I asked them to add on treatment which helped the middle to lower section of my hair but the crown is still coarse and hard... (T____T)

This was my hair when the entire crown was ash grey. This is from the saloons FB page.

MC, my hairdresser insisted they are beautiful, which I do not doubt but still think the color was not the most suitable for office lady like me. Plus, god knows how aweful it will look considering I don't know how to maintain other-than-brown hair color.

I asked her to overlay with a darker shade and she decided on blue but I would have appreciated she informing me first 😅😂

So at the end of my 5-hour long session my hair looked like this

The next few days while I when around window shopping.

In a different lighting

Got a few compliments for it from bff and close friends. Tons more of stares from strangers WTF hahahahah.

Took more selfies recently cause now my hair color is different at least I have a reason to show off please don't hate me hahhaha

I don't hate my hair, but think it's unique though harder to maintain. The bleached really destroyed them I'm mourning.

On top of dyeing my hair I bought a violet blue shampoo and treatment.

IMO the violet blue dye will be great to cover up my bluish-ash gray hair when they start to fade in a few weeks time. At least I hope. Will tell you about it once I tested them for a month or so *fingers crossed* So far I've only used them once and I can see the purple dye is pretty thick.

I also bought this Lucido-L Lively Lasting Curls hair cream to keep my hair looking neat. I have really natural curly messy hair that is now accentuated by the ash gray...

Will write a review on this and my other new hair care products after I tested them for a longer period! Blogging again soon!

first visit to number76

Dropped by No.7 Mid Valley branch for a haircut yesterday~!

Finally get to try them out. Been wanting to do so in forever and finally got a chance because unlike the previous place I was staying, my place now doesn't have any saloons nearby which gives me good excuse to go there LOL

I made a last minute appointment so there was only a slot at 7pm.. So late wth (>a<) On the brighter side, they're open until 10pm so if you're busy during the day, you can drop by in the evening.

My stylist that day, Emily helped me trimmed my hair and bangs. There was another dude I don't know what's his name who helped wash my hair as I requested for the Tansan Sparkling Scalp Wash. After washing he showed me the residues from my scalp and I freaked out.

This here.

Number76 Tansan Sparkling Scalp Wash

Freaking disgusting.

I have been having really oily scalp which seems to have gotten worse sometime early this year to the extend that my bangs always appear oily. So that explains why there are so much icky things on my head wtf ( XoX )

So I guess it was a good idea to do the Tansan because it helps clean the scalp. My hair do feel oil-free afterwards and today as well! I checked with the dude on how often can/must one do the Tansan and he recommended every 2-4 weeks.

(Update Jan 4th, 2016) It's been over two weeks since I did the Tansan service and it's awesome I tell you! My hair has been less oily! Before, it was very obvious when my hair becomes oily because it shows on my bangs :/ Totally recommended to do Number76's Tansan (and perhaps the other scalp treatments) if you have oily hair.

Because my hair is super oily, Emily advised me to do scalp treatment at home so I guess I need to start hunting at the hair care aisle in pharmacies.

This is my hair right after the haircut~

My hair today~~~

2015-12-21-09-11-50_deco

To be honest, I still look like the usual me wtf. Hmmmm... kinda super bored with my forever-the-same hairstyle...

I just learned that members can get their bangs trimmed for free! Yessss~~ Those with bangs will get it. It's a pain to wait till you wanna trim BOTH your bangs and hair. That's what I usually do anywaylah because my previous stylist will charge me RM10 just to trim 1.5cm off my bangs (=____=)

Aside from that, haircut for children under five FOC too (^o^/) #dunnowhythisalsoimexcited #justhappyforyouparentswithchildrenunderfive

Gifts from Number76 on my first visit_a planner, two RM10 vouchers and a membership card~~♡

Ma Cherie's Moisture Range Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Last October was sort of my Beauty Products Splurge Month LOL. Bought tons of masks, lotions and beauty products. One of them is the Ma Cherie Shampoo & Conditioner set (Amazon). I have been dying to try Japan brand hair care products since they started to come flooding into Malaysia market sometime around the end of 2014, if I’m not mistaken.

For a while now, I’ve heard tons of positive reviews on Ma Cherie’s hair care products so I decided to give them a try and see if they’re really worth the whole hoohas. But truthfully, hands down, I trust most Japan brand products live up to their names.

One thing that made me hold back was because they’re really pricey ranging from RM30-RM50 per bottle. My usual shampoo is less than RM15! #damnkiamsiapbeautyblogger

Thankfully, in Malaysia there are sales all year round and I got them both for 30% off! On top of that, since they sum up to above RM60, I received a Ma Cherie umbrella too. But it's so pink I don't dare to use them LOL

Ma Cherie carries 2 different range for their hair care products, the Moisture and Airy Feel range. The former is self explanatory while the Airy Feel works to give your hair more volumn yet light feeling. I chose the Moisture range one which I think is more suitable for my then unruly kinda hair.

For the shampoo and conditioner, there are options of 3 different sizes though I chose the 500ml bottle which cost RM47.60 and RM49.70 respectively. They are also available in 200ml for RM28.50 while the travel pack for both cost RM13.80.

Aside from the shampoo and conditioner, other products from the Ma Cherie hair care products line up includes the treatment and hair styling products. For full product line up, check out Ma Cherie Official Website.

Before I get to how amazing these products are, let me get to the detail of the design of the bottle first. The moisture range bottles are coral-ish pink in color with a gold color pump. Super obsessed with anything with a hint of gold color LOL. And the pump, the design is simply genius_you can actually lock it back again! (Goodness, what with me and bottles pump design recently.)

Furthermore, there are markings on the cap and at the sides of the shampoo bottles to differentiate it from the conditioner. I got to know about it from another blog and I find it thoughtful.

The bottles are just so pretty they make great bathroom décor LOL. So-o keeping these bottles even after I finish the content for the reasons mentioned.

I find the diamond pattern cap design for the medium-size bottles uber cute! Still opted for the larger bottle because of the price difference #calculative

The shampoo is silky and I was actually surprise by how watery it is.. The conditioner on the other hand is light and gel-ish. One thing I love about the conditioner is that how it is not greasy compare to other conditioners I have tried and could be easily washed off.

Results are noticeable in just days! My hair feels lighter but they do have the ‘weight’ from being more moisturized so they don’t fluff up and the locks stay together longer too (Yayyy!). Also, despite the lightness, my natural curls are still quite defined.

There is but one problem _ tying my hair with a scrunchy is more challenging now because it falls off easily! Hair too smooth liao.

So yeah, you already know my conclusion. I honestly think they’re worth every cents!

my current beauty routine~

Haro~!ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ I'm back and this time I want to share with you all my daily beauty/body care products that I'm using now!

Most of the brands that I'm using are the ones you can find from Watsons, Guardian or SaSa and usually the ones at affordable price range. As much as I want to investing on branded skin care/beauty products, I find most of the drugstore brands sufficient for my current needs. Also, now there are so many options to choose from in Watsons/Guardian/SaSa alone! On top of that, besides being occupied, I'm also a bit lazy *ahem* to do extra wtf

Just to clarify, ALL these are NOT SPONSORED and I bought them for my personal use. I'm not paid to write this post but am simply sharing what I'm obsessing over right now.

Let's get started!

♥ Naturals by Watsons' Olive Shower Cream

♥ Naturals by Watsons' Marula Oil Body Lotion

♥ Nivea Instant White Firming Body Serum with SPF 33

♥ Bio Oil

First up are the current stuff I'm using for bath and body care~! I find myself very into scents lately, so I'm getting a bit more particular with by body wash scent yayyy (ღˇ◡ˇ)~♥ I bought the Naturals by Watsons' Olive Shower Cream which scent I'm loving! I find the whole olive range smells really good!!

Since I'm just starting to pay a lil' extra attention, I also got the body lotion, though from the Marula Oil range. (More about these Naturals by Watson range in another review post!) This is my night body lotion whereas during the day, I'm using Nivea Instant White Firming Body Serum as it comes with sun protection and SPF 33++

The Bio Oil is actually something I've stuffed in my drawer for a bit but decided put it to good use in my attempt to get rid of the scar on my knees. I went humpty dumpt-ied and had a great fall FML (ï¼´▽ï¼´) That was weeks ago but the scars aren't going away easily because my itchy fingers had to just scrape off the scabs instead of letting them fall off when they heal naturally *roll eyes* I'm still waiting for it to work its magic..

♥ Loreal's Extraordinary Oil

♥ Dove's Intense Day Repair Cream

For my hair, I'm at my 2nd bottle of both Loreal Keratin Smooth 72-H Shampoo and Conditioner. Again, loving the scent but they're definitely not solution to my hair fall problem which I'm facing for months now! I just figure out my hormones condition could be a cause but I'm still crossing my finger I can find something to fix it...  And yes, I'm still at the same tub of VS Sassoon's Intense Hair Mask. I'm only doing the intense mask once a week now so it seems like it will take a while to finish this one LOL

As for the Loreal's Extraordinary Hair Oil and Dove's Intense Day Repair Cream, I don't use them together but simply alternate between them just to keep my frizzy hair under control.

♥ Dr G's A-Clear Foam Cleanser

Now, into the more crucial part_ facial skin care! ヽ(*´∀`*)ノ✶゚ฺ

I am using Dr G's A-Clear Foam Cleanser, something I decided to try just recently to replace my usual Avene's Cleanance Gel. I simply wanted to experiment on something different and I've heard raving reviews on this brand. So far, so good but because I'm still on trial phase, so maybe a while before I will be reviewing this in detail. I actually have another cleanser, the Tamago Hada AHA+BHA Cleanser which I forgot to include in the photo *smack forehead* I'm treating it as a facial exfoliator because I find it works really good in that department. Unfortunately for the same reason, I don't find it suitable for everyday use as it gives me breakout because the texture is simply too rough on the skin. I'm using this twice per week at most!

After drying my face, I applied my all-time favorite HadaLabo's SHA Lotion which is super hydrating _ 2 thumbs up_ and which assists in better absorption of the serum and moisturizer in the next step! A very recent addition is the Bio-essence Snail Secretion Repair Serum which I splurged on because I was pretty impressed with the result from using Bio-essence snail masks. It was on 40% off too! ☆-(≥vO) v

I usually just finish it off with Senka Hoshitsu Moisturizer which I'm crediting for giving me a more lifted, V-shaped chin! Definitely another personal favorite product of mine! And one of the key ingredient? Allow me to quote the young Flemming Prescott from the movie 'The Age of Adaline' _"made from the royal jelly of the queen bee".

(Though, fact: honey bees in general, regardless of roles, secretes royal jelly. Still, good stuff!)

Once in a while, I use Avene's Thermal Spring Water. I'm on my last bottle but I'm considering to stock up as I find I need this more now. I notice the prolonged haze is giving my forehead odd little bumps! It has always been clear so I freaked out when I first spotted them. After I sprayed with this spring mist, the bumps receded so I concluded they are caused by the pollutants in the air.. Damn you, haze! Speaking of Avene's products by the way, if you are looking for pimple cream try Avene's Triacneal, this one works like magic!

Bio-Essence Snail Secretion Repair Mask

♥ BLiv's Stem Cell Revival Mask

Watsons range Masks

♥ Guardian's Jeju range face mask

♥ Beauty Talk whitening mask

Finally, on facial masks~! I actually don't have time to do double masking _deep pore cleansing mask followed by sheet masks_ and have reduced my mask routine to merely once a week (>д<) But that only means it is important for me to choose the right mask to target my skin issues.

One of the mask I am super OBSESSING over is the Bio-Essence's Snail Secretion Repair Masks which I swear does wonders to my skin! Super duper good stuff here. They are pricey at about RM8.90 per sheet but I stock them during sales for about RM4-6ish each. Such a bummer they are not selling this in a box set, I would definitely prefer it that way...

Besides that, I also always buying Bliv Masks, especially the ones that highlights on skin repairing and rejuvenation. Not forgetting Watsons' Masks too of course!

For Beautiful Tresses: VS Sassoon & Loreal Hair Products Review

Hello~!

Today's reviews are on conditioners and hair mask (^o^ /)

If you've seen photos I've posted on my blog/Facebook/Instagram, you may have noticed my signature messy hair. I wash my hair everyday and usually condition for 1-2 times a week, given if I didn't forget/get lazy. This didn't help much in taming my unruly mane. When I was working part time, my GBF would always make remarks about it but only recent months I have found the secret to manageably smooth hair.

My friends were discussing about hair care and when I told them about my twice-a-week-5-minutes-leave-on conditioning that didn't help, they suggested daily hair conditioning for 1 minute.

That's when I decided to pump up my hair care effort and stock up on more hair conditioners. As an extra exercise, together with my VS Sassoon (a.k.a. Vidal Sassoon) Hair Conditioner, I also bought the VS Sassoon Intensive Hair Mask.

VS Sassoon Hair Conditioner & VS Sassoon Intense Hair Mask

Packaging-wise, they're not the most stunning design.. For both conditioner and hair mask, the textures are silky smooth with light, with salon-ish fragrant.

I applied this after my usual shampooing then washing my face while I wait for the conditioner to sink in. My hair felt instantly smootherlighter and flowy. I can feel my hair bouncing lightly with every movement LOL (*≥▽≤*)

By day 3, it is manageably smoother and in the following weeks, straighter.

For once to twice a week, I whipped the hair mask onto my hair after the conditioning and leave it for a minute or so. The result is ultra smooth and light feeling that lasts up to 2 to 3 days max.

The BIG question: Is it necessary to use a hair mask if the result's pretty much similar?

Well, it isn't exactly similar. From my homework, I found out that conditioner targets the surface of the hair while the hair masks acts as a deep conditioning, targeting the inner structure of the hair. In other words, adding hair mask to your hair care routine means giving your hair the goodness inside out. Conditioner is to be used first so as to allow the mask to be absorbed better.

Here's the progression on how my hair improved in just 2 month's into using VS Sassoon's products. Photos taken from my Instagram because I'm too lazy to snap anew. Recent photo was just days ago btw.

Week 1, EWWWW_ 2 months later, YAYYY!!

Loreal Keratin Smooth 72Hours Hair Conditioner

Recently when my VS Sassoon hair conditioner ran out, I bought this new Loreal Keratin Smooth Hair Conditioner which I happen to spot on Facebook.

Stole this illustration from Loreal Paris Malaysia's FB page. Love it lots!

Loreal Keratin Smooth Hair Conditioner

The bright and pretty packaging of this Loreal Keratin Smooth range stole my heart! Super love it!

So what exactly makes this conditioner different? Apparently hair losses Keratin with every wash so imagine how washing everyday can damage the hair structure! For that, Loreal Keratin Smooth Hair Conditioner comes with breakthrough Micro Keratin Technology, it claims to "fill in flaws and smooth each strands" with long lasting results up to 72 hours!

Loreal Keratin Smooth Hair Conditioner

This conditioner spreads easily onto the hair and gives off a very strong fruity scent that lingers for a few hours after bath. The scent reminded me that of Herbal Essence conditioner (another favorite conditioner for moisturizing hair), but much more strong-smelling.

Since yesterday was my first trial using this conditioner, I can't say exactly that my hair felt instantly smoother. One very noticeable result is they do felt stronger and more manageable. I notice too that my bangs stays in place longer unlike when using VS Sassoon, they tend to curl at the end of the day when my hair turn a tad greasy.

Perhaps this conditioner's your choice for hair styling day (^▽^)
