Eyes Coffret 1 Day UV: Base Make Review

Hello people~!

Missed a blog post last week, gomen ne. It's the peak period at work and there were so-o many things going on past Saturdays I didn't have time to blog. On top of that, I have quite a  number of videos I haven't edited from CNY to the recent Bunkasai I attended last Saturday. These will take some time to complete but I have posted a short video last week taken from the time my friends and I explored a new restaurant.

As for today I'm gonna share with you this one contact lens brand I bought recently _ Eye Coffret in Base Make. I bought this together with and Eye Coffret in Rich Make for RM90 from Paris Miki. However, today's review is just for Base Make's lenses because I haven't got the chance to try the other yet (I just bought them last week!).

There were 3 different designs to choose from but I only got the brown color lenses because I'm no fan of black lens :/

Just out of curiosity, I didn't really notice before but do Japanese have black or brown eyes or both? I mean, like why are they calling the black-color one 'Natural Make'? Any Japanese reading my blog? LOL

Eye Coffret is something I've been considering of getting for awhile now but only decided to get because I wanted to wear for Bunkasai which I attended last weekend. Didn't want to wear my specs then.

I'm actually no fan of spectacles because they hurt my ears and leave marks on the bridge of my nose and so I can't wear it for long. I still wear it because I've been lazy to go contact lens shopping. Also, now that I'm working, I want a color contact lens that is natural-looking (if not no color ones), nothing too 'gyaru' nor super enlarging.

I found several from international online site selling some Korean brand that looks really pretty but unfortunately they don't ship to Malaysia. Also I'm still waiting for Lena Fuji's RichBaby Lenses to be distributed in Malaysia, else I better faster plan a trip to Japan and go conquer Donki's contact lens section wth.

Back to Eye Coffret! Each boxes consist of 10 pieces of lens and each for one day use only. I'm loving their simple packaging. Here are the close ups.

Eye Coffret Base Make closeup
I wore the Base Make lens for the event but it didn't turn up as what I was expecting. I wanted a brown lens that turn up lighter on my irises but instead it looked just like my natural eyes. It's not completely a bad thinglah, my friends didn't even notice I was wearing colored contacts. They were just wondering what's different hahaha.

Though I would really like something with a lighter color. Or something like my mom's. She has really beautiful, bright eyes _ black tea sorta dark brown color. I guess I didn't get that particular gene from her. But I still have pretty dark brown irises LOL, people tell me they look unique.

This is how the lenses look like on me. My eyes are sparkling LOL

(It's not very obvious because it's a far shot but I am making a mental reminder for myself to take a close up shot the next time I wear it. Will post it up here.)

With a diameter of 12.8mm these lenses have slight enlarging effect. Here's a pic I took that night without one lens. Can you tell which side of my eyes without the lens?

Eye Coffret 1 Day UV in Base Make

The one on the left is without the lens and vice versa.

It really is tough to tell the difference unless you look into my eyes closely (in real life) LOL.

Anyway, these lens are awesome! I got it inside my eyes without much problems and they feel really soft. My eyes didn't feel painful or dry even though I wore it over 13 hours! As the name suggested, this lens also function to help protect your eyes from harmful UV rays! Pretty awesome stuff here, I would say.

Overall, I'm satisfied with my purchase and if there's any complain, it's just the color. Still, definitely recommendable if you're a fan of natural colored contact lens. Can't wait to try the Rich Make lens soon! And maybe after that buy more contact lens wth. My obsession with contact lens is back hahaha

A Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Showy Review & 3 Amazing Ways to UseIt!

Recently I'm obsessed with hot pink colored lipstick because I have been somewhat brainwashed after seeing several Japanese models in magazines adorning them. Have been checking out every single brands I know for lippies of this shades before deciding to buy this Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Showy.

Besides reviewing this awesome balm, I will also be showing you the 3 awesome ways to use this Revlon Matte Balm! (⌒▽⌒)

This Revlon Matte Balm is infused with a Triple Butter Complex of Shea, Mango and Coconut Butter that nourishes the lips. It has a pointy crayon tip which doesn't require sharpening and by twisting the silver cap, you can reveal more of it.

Here's how they turned up on me~

Somehow, only when I was editing the photos I realize the color didn't turn out as when I had applied it... It appeared more pinkish and lacking the original blue-ish tone? Not sure if it's from blotting some of the color off and reaction to my lip balm..

Here's the swatch on my hand and lip I took again which turns out closer to the real color.

Very vivid tone! So if you're all for bold colored lippies, this is definitely for you. Overall, I think this lip balm's pretty amazing but if there's one thing about this Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm that irks me, it would be the peppermint scent! Wish they hadn't come with it...

That's all for the review part. Well I did mentioned earlier that I would show you how to use this balm in 3 different ways. I have shown you one_on my lips, so here's the other two.

Another way to use it is by applying it on the cheek as blusher~!

It turned up pretty subtle and almost natural. And oh, these photos I took at another time and used different makeup (*⌒∇⌒*)

And the third, as an EYELINER!! Yes, you read this correctly!

Thanks to the crayon-like tip, smooth and not-so-sticky texture of this matte balm, drawing on your lids can't get any easier.

Though with my thick double eyelids I find the color tends to get on the crease so I applied it in C-shape the same you do when applying eyeshadow~

And there! The color actually turned out right when I used this Revlon Matte Balm on my eyes.

I actually got my inspiration from Popteen April 2012 issue where Tsubasa Masuwaka wore this somewhat matching hot pink lipstick and eyeliner (scans from Ekiblog).

Tsubasa Masuwaka featured on Popteen April 2012

Sorta remembered it because the cover of the issue featuring Tsubasa is super kawaii (*´∀`*)

Hope you enjoy the tips! ☆-(≥vO )

Dolly Wink Black Mascara & Liquid Eyeliner Reviews

Hello~

Will be reviewing this Dolly Wink  Mascara in #02 Volume and Dolly Wink Black Liquid Eyeliner~ I bought them previously during Tokyo Love Collection (Part 2) pop up store at Isetan KLCC.

Previously, I have also reviewed the Dolly Wink's False Eyelashes, also hauls from Tokyo Love Collection here.

Jyan~ this is what the products look like~~

#DollyWink #TsubasaMasuwaka #MilkyBunny #Japanese #Beauty #Cosmetic

(Reusing this photo 'cuz I've threw them away during cleaning up :/ )

Design wise, the packaging is really cute but the mascara and eyeliner bottles are a bit too boring compared to what they have for the brown mascara and single eyeliners. Wished the black mascara have been in much cuter shades..

Now for the review of these products starting with the eyeliners~

Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner in Black

The thin brush helps to create smooth, fine lines. Some more, it's very easy to control and drawing closer to lash line is easy even for an eyeliner amateur like me (≥ v ≤ )

The result~

Also using this complementary Koji crayon eyeliner in black to line the upper waterline~

Here are swipes of the eyeliners (Up: Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner; Down: Koji Crayon Pencil) below. Also, did the waterproof test and result is the one on the right~

One of the con is that these eyeliners are not waterproof, especially the crayon liner which smudges onto my lower lids giving me panda eyes just after a few hours of applying :(( It didn't show much on this pic because the residue got washed away.

Dolly Wink Mascara

For the black mascara, there are options for either #01 Long or #02 Volume. I chose the latter because I prefer more visibly, thicker lashes.

This is the result after a few swipes~

From nada to super visible lashes!

Eyelashes appears much thicker without being overly clumpy (⌒o⌒ ) It's quite natural too, don't you agree? Also, this mascara's waterproof and didn't need much touching up at all!

The downside would be it takes more than 3 swipes to get the result above besides being super pricey.. I got this limited edition mascara & eyeliner set for RM78 compared to RM69.90 for mascara and RM59.90 for the liquid eyeliner if bought separately.

As for the complete look~

Nice or not?

Super like the berry color lipstick from dabbing a bit of fuchsia-color lipstick over my Candy Doll lipgloss in Milky Orange. Cheek color is from my new Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm. Yes, a lip balm (more about it in my following review)!

That's all for now. Chao~!

Geo Princess Mimi Contact Lens in Sesame Gray Review

Hello~!

Finally decided to make a review on my all-time favorite contact lens, the Geo Bambi a.k.a. Princess Mimi in Gray which is produce by none other than my favorite Gyaru Queen Tsubasa Masuwaka!

Super like this lens so much I got another after my last one expire!(*°▽°* )

Bet by now most people would have heard about it already, but for those who haven't tried/is considering to try, here's a review for you LOL

Isn't the pink macaron lens case so cute? Bought the lens from Pinky Paradise and the case comes free with it. Originally the price for a pair is RM75-ish but I manage to grab mine on sale (^o^ v) For a one year disposable lens, it's affordable.

Anyway, here's how the lens looks like_thick, black outer ring, light gray color with a yellowish ring in the middle.

Before and after wearing the lens~❤

It's 15mm in diameter therefore the enlarging effect is pretty visible. Yet at the same time it is designed to look oh-so-natural! I even had the same Geo Bambi lens in Apple Green which turns out amazingly natural on the eyes.  Really wished I had a clearer photo from then to share with you (>___<  )

As for comfort level, I'd say this one could be worn up to 6-7 hours provided you don't wear them daily or your eyes would start to fell irritated.

Anyway, more photos of this lens~ Trying out this mori gal and aegyo-sal combination makeup look though my green liner (Majolica Majorca's Jeweling Eyes Pencil Liner in Jewel Green) didn't show up in the pics well.

That's all for now. Chow~

Review: Daiso Eyeshadows Haul

Ohai ,(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ Today I'll be reviewing my Daiso eyeshadow haul I got for myself recently~

I bought 2 eyeshadow palettes from Daiso, one is the Pearl In Eyeshadow in Brown and the other is Pearl Bling Lame Eyeshadow in Pink. They're both RM5 each only! These are my cheapest eyeshadow purchase so far. Usually I wouldn't even (or rather, ever) think of getting cheap cosmetics from local non-drugstore stores. In my impression cheap cosmetic = no good.

But since it's a brand from Japan, I decided the quality would be much better and the cosmetics might be safer to apply on the skin. Bias opinion LOL (> ∇ <) I'm a true sucker for Japanese brands. I actually got the brown palette first and the colors turn out really nice, so on my second trip I got the pink one.

Now let's get started~!

Pearl In Eyeshadow in Brown

Daiso Jewel In Eyeshadow

Here's the swatches for this eyeshadow:

I LOVE the brown shades and I've been using this one a lot for my daily nude makeup look.

The colors are highly pigmented and they stay well for hours(with a good makeup base)! All the shades have a moderate amount of bling that gives them a smooth satin and pearly finish_thus explains the name_without being "too much". As in, it's just perfect for casual look-lah.

My only complain would be the applicator which has tips so course I swear it's like you're using a hard toothbrush on your eyelids.

Pearl Bling Lame Eyeshadow in Pink

The second palette, the Pearl Bling Lame Eyeshadow comes in 1 cream eyeshadow and 4 other colors. This palette is also available in Purple but I didn't get it because I have too many purple shades eyeshadow already.

This palette even has a built-in mirror ~ ↓

I find the cream eyeshadow doesn't have much color so I didn't swatch it. I think it merely works as a base to accentuate the other colors but don't use it at all.

The swatches for the other 4 shades are as below ↓

Daiso Jewel Bling Lame Eyeshadow Swatches

You can see that these 4 shades are much more sheer and are not as pigmented as the brown palette. Plus, they have very minimal bling so when applied, they give a nice matte finish. The downside? The color is not very obvious and they don't have much staying power.

Still, the pink-brown combination is just perfect for sweet, nude look. Love the color combination a lot, I'm now hunting for more pastel pink color eyeshadow (@⌒▽⌒@)  Overall, I'm quite satisfied with how both of them turn out. I am thinking or trying other cosmes products from Daiso, maybe a 'Daiso Makeup Challenge' theme post? Might want to do just that haha

Alrighty, that's it for now. Till next time, chao~!
