Purikura: Lovelizm, again!

Yuppie! Just had another Purikura sessions with a different bunch of friends two days after I just had a separate session. That's what you call obsession LOL. I'm just going to jump straight into the pictures we took because I've reviewed this machine in my last post which you can find in the 'How To' tab at the top of this blog.

Because I has been trying out different purikura machines since last December, I'm sorta the pro in the group among my friends who only played purikura once or never at all. Still, I wasn't prepare for this because they're one rowdy bunch. Chaos was the word my friend used to describe the situation LOL. It was chaotic but crazy fits them better, I tell you! In the photos first two photos, we look fully unprepared and some MIA-ed in some shot hahaha.

Went a bit over with the stamps and was messing around with the guys' face hahahaha

I found a cool feature _ contact lens, yo! Somehow here I turned heterochromia (≧▽≦*)

We accidentally picked the frames with this girl (who is she?!) in the middle so my friend here got hidden...

The next session are just between us girls and another friend joined in. This time we picked the 4x close up shots with 2x full body shots. Like every other machines, you'll get a bonus shot.

Girls just wanna have fun, yo!

OOTD shot! Why did everyone choose to wear black today?!

Here are all the prints from Lovelizm to give you an idea of the different print sizes. You're welcome.

Can't wait to try new machines soon!

Purikura How Tos (Part III): Lovelizm ♥ Second Collection

I finally got my friends together for Purikura photography session in Mid Valley! Lovelizm ♥ Second Collection has recently replaced Me Her Jyoshi 3 in Mid Valley which is perfect since I appreciate something different with my friends. In today's post I'm going to share the features of this Lovelizm's Purikura machine, so get ready for tons of photos!

Pre-Photography Session
Before you go ahead with posing, you will need to choose your theme between colorful backgrounds or basic white backgrounds. We chose the colorful option.

Final collage option for colorful background are as below.

I looked up online and found the white one have pretty cool collages and effects like these!!! Gahhh, super wanna try this but not sure if my other friends want to...

Lovelizm offers a tons of patterned background in sets but you also can opt to customized your own for plain background. After that, you can opt to have your prints in 3x half body plus 2x full bodies OR all half bodies (maybe 5x to 6x frames). We chose the former for both our sessions. More variety on the prints and the full body shots are perfect to document your outfits!!

- Input name in hiragana or romaji. We opted for alphabets

*One bonus picture with choices between four super kawaii background!!

Photo Session

I noticed that while you still have less time to adjust your pose, the camera lags. In fact after a shot, it took about 3-5 seconds before the screen display your pics, so we took opportunity to quickly discuss our next pose. In the end, there are lots of cheek hugging poses hahaha

Lovelizm doesn't have an option to choose whether you want natural or model length legs such as the one in Oh ♥ My Girl III and the default made all the full body shots have our leg and skirt elongated. Even for eyes size at 'Recommended' got us hugeeee eyes!

Editing Session

Only at this point you can make selection of eyes' size and skin tone. I always choose 'Recommended' settings for skin tone because the prints come out nicer and not too blur (in lighter setting) or saturated (in darker setting).

Lovelizm's unique stickers set includes rabbit & cat ears stamps, which are my first time seeing in Purikura machines, floral garlands, funny side up egg which is kinda wacky plus thick lips stickers.

I tried it on but they looked so odd on us, so I skipped those.

I used filter on this pic. Not sure if filter is Lovelizm's special feature but I don't remember seeing filter option for other purikuras.

OF COURSE, I need to give us red and gradient lippies!

I'm also seeing rainbow color messages but they're quite limited. This machine has better scribble function unlike it's predecessors' scattered pixels cause from uneven lines or lagging, so yayyy!

And the result _ amazing color! By the way, I made a mistake in choosing one of the layout for just two prints instead of three (the wider one) so I coaxed my friend into another session so we each have a copy to serve as commemoration for our first Purikura session together.

Some of the other printouts style you can choose from~~ and no, the size are smaller.

HOWEVER I do notice how the prints (for both 2x and 3x prints) are smaller than my previous ones WTF. I hope it's just something for Lovelizm's machine! Even my friend remarked how she can't see all the stamps and fonts we added to the pics... I hope Puripix do something about it.

my purikura stickers collection

Updates:
1) Cat ears or lips stickers can be automatically added to the heads/faces provided your face if fully capture. Half-captured heads/faces don't work.

2) You can add contact lens! OMG! Again, this only works if your eyes are completely open. If you want to know how this turns out, check out my next post!

3) For multiple prints, you can opt for 2x2 vertical prints (this I chose 4x close up and 2x full body) OR 5x horizontal/vertical prints of seven photos (this I chose 5x close up photos).

4) Lovelizm machine doesn't have eye makeup options but automatically gives you pink eyeshadows and silver-ish glitter waterline.

Another odd observation with Lovelizm purikura machine is that it doesn't print out the bonus photo *freaks out* I may have missed it or not but I'm going to find out soon! Playing again with another bunch of friends yayyyyヾ(≧▽≦*)o

ps, playing Purikura for the first time can be intimidating (at least for me!) so if you're not sure, just make sure you listen to the instructions closely which can be impossible if you have friends who laugh in the interval (my crazy friends) or read the instructions on the screen. The latter is important to tell you which side you need to go to edit your photos!

Ukiyo-e's 31-Day Luxury Blend Essence Charcoal Mask Review

Happy weekday, I hope you're happy hahaha. Mine was rather hectic so much that I was doing some work on Sunday (Saturday was my day out)...

And yup, I'm back with another review of a product that I'm not sure if anyone heard of because you can't find it in any Malaysia pharmacies or cosmetic stores. I haven't heard of it until a few weeks back LOL. Went to Isetan KLCC the other day on the way to meet my friends and so happen I chance upon this counter (on one of the ladies' fashion floor, I don't remember) selling Japanese beauty products which I don't remember seeing. There were also a number of promoters there and several other people so I went to 'kepo' and check out what all the hoo-ha was about.

One super energetic promoter started telling me all about the products and patiently answered my questions. Out of my obsession for masks, I went and splurge on this Luxury Blend Essence, All in One Essence Mask from a brand called Uukiyo-e which costs me RM155 for this huge pack of 31 masks!

Ukiyo-e Luxury Blend Essence Charcoal Mask

They're gonna take me forever months to finish, 4 months if I keep up with my twice a week masking (it's usually once a day for me it's back to once a day wth).

Not related to this review but together with this mask, I bought a cleanser which was also super recommended by the same promoter because of the 'high fulvic acid' content. I have not used it yet but will be reviewing about it when I do (Ov<)-

Ukiyo-e Luxury Blend Essence Charcoal Mask

Mount Fuji depicted in a ukiyo-e-ish painting~! I just figured out the brand name means "pictures of the floating world" or Edo-style paintings in layman terms. I don't wanna elaborate it further here so Google it to find out more LOL.

Ukiyo-e Luxury Blend Essence Charcoal Mask

Anyway, if you do the math, it's about RM5 per sheet which I think it's super worth it le, with all the luxury ingredients _ Gold, Royal Jelly (Me love!), Charcoal, Pearl, Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, Q10, Arbutin, just to name several of their main ingredients!

Ukiyo-e Luxury Blend Essence Charcoal Mask

This is just one of the few choices of five different masks in huge packs that they have. I opted for this because according to the promoter, the other 2 doesn't suit my skin type. For this Charcoal mask range, there are two choices, one is made of luxury ingredients mentioned above while the other is made mostly of organic ingredients.

The content looks like this, with each masks arranged side by side making it convenient to separate one from the other. The bag is the zip lock sort so it is resealable.

Ukiyo-e Luxury Blend Essence Charcoal Mask

The masks are like, opaque black... You can't even tell my facial expression whether I'm smiling or not. I was smiling LOL.

Ukiyo-e Luxury Blend Essence Charcoal Mask

I didn't feel any difference until my second masks. The most obvious effect is my lips feels more plump, more like swelling after that. The lifting and tightening effect is strong with this one, oh yeah.

On the other hand, I can't really feel any difference on my face but I'm deducing that's just because I'm no stranger to tightening/lifting sorta masks. Not bragging, but I'm proud that my skin's feels pretty taut. But then, yeah, I'm still at quarter life, so thankfully my skin isn't sagging yet LOL. Gonna wanna maintain this until I'm 35 #lifegoals

The salesperson I met recommended this mask in replace my night beauty routine as these masks works as a lotion, moisturizer, all in one. After trying, I say nay, weeks ago the weather was so hot and drying, my skin felt so dehydrated. I ended up slapping on moisturizer anyway!!On top of that she recommended to mask everyday (Figures why they come in 31 sheets )! But no, ain't got no time for that.

Anyway, Ukiyo-e also have several other ranges of 31-Day masks _ one other Organic (I think!) Blend Essence Charcoal Mask and 4 others. They do distribute single mask depicting ukiyo-e-ish geisha prints. So many masks under a single brand wth right.

Juice Obsession: La Juiceria

Lately, I've been obsessing over healthy eating and so making it a habit to consume juices, yogurts and fruits besides opting for salad and greens on a frequent basis. Today's post will be me sharing with you my recent favorite juicebar _ La Juiceria(Not an ad btw!).

As much as I love other juice bars, I guess what caught my attention is how the juices are prepared _ via cold pressing technique. From what I've read, cold pressing differs from normal juicing as it produces juice without producing heat that usually destroys most of the fruits/veges nutrients and that juices produce from this technique could be store longer as well! *impressed* Though it may not provide as many fibre, which IMO is still as important as they are removed in the middle of the process.

Personally have tried a number of juice concoctions from La Juiceria such as:

#1 Mint Lemonade

La Juiceria's Mint Lemonade

#2 Gold Glow, one of my favorite

La Juiceria's Gold Glow

#3 Cilantro Celery Punch _ another personal favorite and 4) Orange Power. There are 2 more tiny bottles there, I'll get to that bits in a short while~

Love the juices because they taste so refreshing and well, fresh LOL. Also, one bottle of the juice keeps me full so sometimes I just drink it as a substitute for my dinner before class. After consuming, I also realize I have better bowel movement too!

La Juiceria's Cilantro Celery Punch, Orange Power, Vital Shot and The Defender

La Juiceria's Cilantro Celery Punch

I also tried the Power Shot ranges _those stuff in tiny glass bottles. There are two which is 5) Vital Shot and 6) The Defender.

Despite the size they tasted really concentrated_Vital Shot with super strong ginger flavor and The Defender with equally strong turmeric taste. Every sip got me grimacing. That yucky. But OKla, they're good for the body right? Once, I caught the flu bug and so decided to try the ginger juice and next day I'm runny nose no more. Can't be 100% sure that this play a huge part in it but I've read how ginger is indeed good for cold.

From the pamphlet (see below), it seems like previously they have the Skin Tonic for this range too but when I inquired about it, turned out is has been discontinued... I was like, Nooo 'cause I really wanted to try that (≥д≤ )

La Juiceria's pamphlet

And oh, another point that differentiate La Juiceria from other juice bars is that they have their own Cleanse & Detox Program!

I've been wanting to try detoxing for a while now for two main reason, loose some weight and cleansing my tummy/intestine/liver. La Juiceria's detox program seems tempting since it only involves consuming fresh juices and they have combinations of fruits, vegetables and even nuts. I've also read several reviews from other bloggers who have tried La Juiceria's detox program and most of them seems pretty positive about detoxing with cold pressed juice.

Definitely to include in my to-do list though I really ought to check out my other to-dos before attempting for it(I'm trying to clear them off, one at a time!) But when I do, I'll definitely share them here with you ☆-(≥vO)

Till next time~!

~♥~

25th July 2015

So I was reading through the TimeOut KL magazine, July issue and found an article on the various cold-pressed juice bars around KL, some of which also offers detox packages (In my blog post I mentioned only La Juiceria having their own detox program...). And oh, a lot of these juice bars offer delivery services too!

April Obsession: Agate Crystal Candle Holder

Happy weekend people~!

I know I still owe you a video (>Д<) I am halfway editing it and I know I'm taking a whole lot time to do so but I have other things that's been keeping me occupied_been running around battling aliens and slaying dragons. Ok, nothing of that sort just work, studies and stuff which was enough to turn me into a walking zombie for the entire week (¬Âº-°)¬ #immazombienowtoo

Also, I've been reminding myself  to sit down and study more since I've signed up for JLPT N3 this coming July. Stresses me out 'cuz I know I need to put in more effort on the kanjis... (ï¼´▽ï¼´)

Boring talks aside, sharing with you my recent obsession for crystals. Guess I've been obsessed with them for the longest time now but recently I find myself keep checking them out online.

Super fascinated by the natural, intricate designs of crystal geodes. Don't know why but I'm just like super, SUPER in awe really. Can you believe it takes mother nature thousands of years to make this?? And then I found it, a crystal candle holder and I just must get it! I've been lighting scented tea light candles recently just for unwinding/relaxing sorta thing. With the details of the crystal, it just doubles up the calming effect.

It's just so pretty to look at! (ღˇ◡ˇ)~♥

This is the crystal before it is being lighted up.

This is it when it's being lighted up. Tell me if you find this fascinating too after watching this~
