Dessert~!

Yesterday, after dinner, my roomie and I decided to check out the pasar, Malay for market at Broga.

Here's what we found: Tau fu fah! For those who don't know, it's Mandarin(I think) for soybean curd. I usually call it 'tau hua', which is Hokkien for the same thing-lah~

OMG. Was so tempted to eat the whole bucket~! The other two little buckets contain syrup to go with the tau fu fah(usually tasteless). The yellow one is a gingerly kinda syrup while the black one is 'gula Melaka' which is my all time favorite!

[caption id="attachment_1243" align="aligncenter" width="490"] close up~ see the silky smooth surface?[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1244" align="aligncenter" width="480"] scooping tau fu fah into the containers~[/caption]

[caption id="attachment_1248" align="aligncenter" width="490"] Gula Melaka settling at the bottom of the container~[/caption]

Da verdict~ This one's a lil' too smooth. It's texture is more like that of a pudding than bean curd, in my opinion. Still, it's okie~ (,OvO,)

  3. yea it's a must go when you go to hong kong, they have the best tofu fah there. I'd recommend the hot one since its soooo velvety. the cold one is surprisingly smooth too but the hot one is EVEN BETTER.

let me know if you will visit hong kong one day, I can recommend a bunch of places for you to go! :) keep in touch!
